Dr. Nick Phelps (Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Population Medicine) is the aquaculture specialist for UMN Extension and focuses on fish health and production. Nick led the MnDRIVE-GFV aquaponics food safety and economic sustainability projects, organizes the annual aquaponics symposium, and teaches in the UMN aquaponics course HORT4601.

Dr. Paul Venturelli (Assistant Professor, Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology) specializes in fish growth and life history, especially in relation to temperature.
